In Letters from Abbottabad, captured documents from bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan reveal a fractured, divided leadership within al-Qaeda. So contentious were these rifts that there even surfaced a suggestion of changing al-Qaeda’s name. Seventeen of these documents are presented in Arabic along with English translations and commentaries. This is a rare glimpse inside a terrorist organization.
