Children’s Health/Demographic Statistics Over the Decades

Containing dozens of tables ranging from health to education and covering, in certain instances, statistics back to the 1950s,  America’s Children in Brief: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, 2014 provides national-level data on a wide variety of topics. One can explore the rates for various vaccinations from 1996-2012, for example or discover the levels of food insecurity from 1995 to 2012. Much valuable information, culled from many governmental sources, is concisely presented in understandable tables. Compare these data points to the Kids Count 2014 Data Book that presents much of the same current information but does rank each state by the metrics. However, the latter does not provide the retrospective information that the former title contains.
