K-12 Online Learning

Online learning is just not limited to higher education. There have been examples of online learning in the K-12 sector for some time now (look at this influential 2007 report – K-12 Online Learning: A Suvrey of U.S. School District Administrators) and this special issue of Online Learning is solely devoted to this topic. Articles range from parental involvement to designing models for these programs. New Jersey would appear to be behind other areas in the country; read this article to see what happened to a Bergen County school district that used a “virtual day” for online learning when the district was closed due to snow.
