How New Jersey School Districts Spend Their Monies

The 2019 Taxpayers Guide to Education Spending has just been released. Every district is profiled using multiple indicators. Want to know how much money your district spent? How much revenue came from the state? The teacher-pupil ratio? The cost per student? All of these questions and so many more are here.

Here are some numbers for Jersey City: total expenditures were $725, 612, 663; revenue from the state was 79.8%; the teacher pupil ratio was 11.4; and the total cost per student was $26, 028.

You can search by indicator, district, or group, and you can easily call up state averages medians as well. Access to prior reports are also available.
